SCHOTT Solar has appointed Cameron “Mac” Moore as its new vice president sales and marketing for the North American market. The experienced expert on the solar industry joins the company from the Conergy Group. He will now be overseeing the marketing and sales activities of SCHOTT Solar, Inc. from the company’s headquarters in Roseville, California. In addition, Mr. Moore will also be overseeing business development opportunities inside this region. Cameron Moore, better known to many as “Mac”, has over 15 years of experience in the solar industry. He began his career working for the SEIA (Solar Energy Industry Association), where he developed state and market development programs for the organization. From there, he moved to BP Solar and then later to Conergy. Mr. Moore studied at New York University’s Stern School of Business and holds an M.B.A. in Finance, as well as a B.A. in Mathematics and Anthropology from Middlebury College in Vermont. “I am really looking forward to bringing my insights and vision for the industry to SCHOTT Solar,” says Moore. “We are truly convinced that the U.S. market holds immense potential. And, by manufacturing locally, SCHOTT Solar has already been an integral part of the U.S. photovoltaic market for decades. We are extremely proud to have Mac Moore, an experienced pioneer, join us in the U.S.,” explains Dr. Martin Heming, chairman of the Board of Management and CEO of SCHOTT Solar.
